DELTA SenseLab is an independent test laboratory specialised in performing listening tests in a variety of domains.
In testing audio quality we apply both well-known test types from various standards (ITU-T, ITU-R), as well as novel methods from the field of sensory evaluation.
We offer services that help development of products within
- Telecommunications (devices, accessories, components etc.)
- Consumer audio (headphones, speakers etc.)
- Hearing aids
- Audio/speech coding
- Consumer products (product sound quality)
Human perception in product development
By using the robust and reliable methods of sensory evaluation, it is possible to gain knowledge on your product's key perceptual characteristics, as well as how these are perceived by the end-user. This valuable knowledge can give you a competitive advantage in the field of customising your product to the human senses.
It is no longer just a question of squeezing as many bits, bytes and features into a product as possible - the quality of experience can only be gauged by the end-user.
NEWS - Warning sounds for the silent electric cars
At low speed electric vehicles pose a special risk for pedestrians and cyclists. The risk can be minimized by adding external sounds, but it is a paradox to add sound when one of the attractive features of electric vechicles are the decreased noise pollution. A DELTA white paper gives recommendations on how to minimize both risk and noise pollution.
You can download the white paper and read more here.
