The CE mark provides access to the whole European market. DELTA gives you an overview of the EU CE requirements and provides a tailor-made workshop adapted to your needs
Outsourcing requirements
One thing is that the added knowledge can help to fulfil your customers' expectations; another is that, with this new knowledge, you can make relevant demands of your sub-suppliers.
You will have the chance to think about the requirements when outsourcing and purchasing.
A typical process
We will review your product in order to gain an overview and an insight into which EU directives, and thus which legislative expectations, apply.
We will supplement this with measures to improve quality and we will discuss jointly the expectations set by your customers.
Expectations set by the customers
Manufacturers are often subject to requirements for a CE marking, even when the product is a sub-component to be incorporated into an end-product.
The manufacturers' professional customers are often aware that the CE mark covers a range of requirements, which they set as minimum requirements.
For example:
- Electromagnetic compatibility - EMC
- Electrical safety - LVD
- Safety on machinery - MD
- Safety on medical devices - MED
Requirements in the purchase agreement
To an increasing extent, the customers have started expressing their expectations of the product's properties as early as in the purchasing and contract phase.
Previously, the CE mark, and possibly a declaration of conformity (DoC), provided sufficient documentation. Now, many customers have begun to ask for documentation on the test itself, or the assessments that form the basis of the marking.
Meet your customers at eye level
A workshop with DELTA will put you in a position to self-certify (CE) your products as well as being able to assess customer-related requirements to a certain degree.
It gives you the opportunity in future to talk on an equal footing with your partners and customers about their requirements.
