EMC networking at the EMC Club

ERFA Group

The EMC Club is an ERFA group, where EMC requirements, EMC design, EMC testing and EMC approvals are discussed at seven of the ten meetings of the EMC Club held each year.

Exchange of experiences

EMC experiences and opinions are exchanged in the EMC Club, thus affording the opportunity to shape EMC developments.

The DELTA EMC Club started more than 15 years ago and in 2009 there are more than 130 member companies from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Up-to-date knowledge

As a member of the EMC Club, you are constantly at the forefront of developments in EMC - in the fields of EMC technology, new standards and testing methods.

The EMC Club is a forum for sharing the latest knowledge on EMC among members. Topics vary from one occasion to the next and are determined after input from the EMC Club's members. Lecturers are either experts from DELTA, international experts or relevant members.

News about EMC standards

News regarding EMC standards is brought to club members via "Standard Nyt" (Standard News).

EMC design

The EMC Club has also increased its focus on the opportunities for working on EMC as early as in the design phase, this being much cheaper than implementing modifications immediately prior to the introduction onto the market.

Do-it-yourself testing

Club members can also carry out EMC testing on their own equipment. The "do-it-yourself" service provides EMC Club members with the opportunity to carry out EMC testing as early as in the design phase.

Training in EMC phenomena

DELTA provides training to members on the subject of EMC phenomena and how to carry out testing themselves. This is a good learning experience for technical staff and developers who will work with EMC, not least for newly-trained engineers.

Website and knowledge bank

The EMC Club's website contains a wealth of knowledge in the "knowledge bank". All presentations from previous meetings are available here, for example.

Other topics - ATEX, ROHS, EMF and HALT

The EMC Club works primarily with EMC, but also takes up other topics if they are connected with EMC or if EMC Club members so wish.

Club meetings

Ten meetings are held each year. Club meetings are held at:

• DELTA in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, Denmark

• DELTA at Them near Silkeborg, Denmark

The membership fee is DKK 4,500.00 excl. VAT per half year.
