Getting market access
To access a certified area, certification of products is required by law. The certification shows the end-user that the product fulfils the relevant legal requirements.
Approval management requires know-how
DELTA has been an EMC Notified Body according to the EMC directive 89/336/EC since 1996 and we have undertaken numerous EMC assessments.
We use our experience when recommending approval strategies and carrying out EMC assessments.
Approvals and test reports
Before applying for the relevant certification, you need to fulfil legal requirements, typically verified by testing and documented in a test report. A certain level of assessment is accepted, however it must be documented.
Approval strategy saves time and money
An approval strategy for a product family normally cuts down the amount of testing and introduces more assessments, saving test time and money.
Your approval manager
By choosing DELTA to be your approval manager, you will benefit from our professional network of partners, able to handle approvals within the following industries:
- Industrial and automation
- Healthcare and medical
- Wireless communications.
We can act on your behalf, out-sourcing tests to partners in our network, and verifying the test reports afterwards.
We have handled, amongst others, tests of electrical safety, as well as tests on technical aids for disabled persons and on medical products
By handling EMC compliance requirements in the design phase, you are then able to implement EMC both technically good and economic EMC solutions simultaneously.
EMC must be managed
DELTA experience has, from the very beginning back in 1944, shown that EMC must be managed.
By implementing EMC solutions into the design and printed circuit boards (PCB), you can avoid any unexpected major delays in compliance testing.
Testing in the design phase
Once the modules and components of the product are ready, an EMC Quick-check indicates if anything needs to be corrected.
When the total system is powered up for the first time, an EMC pre-test can verify how the total system performs. If anything needs to be corrected, the fine tuning of the EMC design should be concluded at this point.
If you want to know the limit of your design, then try DELTA's EMC HALT.
We test the product until it fails, searching for the weakest parts in the construction.
By modifying the product, the robustness of the product increases and aftermarket service requirements are reduced.
EMC troubles and EMC modifications
DELTA has the necessary experience to help with consultancy for EMC troubleshooting and EMC modifications. We help ideas become reality - and when modifications are needed.
