DELTA accommodates both a specialised measuring laboratory and a knowledge centre for technical audiology and plays a vital role in the efforts of industry and the community to assist as many people with hearing disabilities as possible, as effectively as possible.

DELTA helps hearing care services to handle the technology

Modern hearing devices are complex, and a correct adjustment and understanding of the technology of the device is essential if they are to be used successfully.

DELTA provides technical guidance, carries out measurements and communicates its knowledge to the players in the hearing care services, including municipalities, hearing clinics and hearing institutes.

The primary tasks in this area are: 

• Technical support to the Danish hearing care services
• Advice to industry and the hearing care services in the fields of audiology and sound quality
• Testing and validation of instruments for those with hearing disabilities
