In order to be right at the forefront in the development of tests for technical audiological equipment, DELTA is a member of several IEC/TC29 working groups in the field of standardisation (see www.iec.ch for further information).
DELTA is also represented at the Nordic Cooperation on Disability (NSH), which publishes the NSH requirements specifications that form the basis of the process of homologation in the Nordic countries.
DELTA offers the following hearing aid testing services:
- Electroacoustic testing, conducted in accordance with IEC 60118 and assessed in respect of the NSH requirements specifications.
- EMC testing, conducted in accordance with both IEC and ANSI standards in a GTEM cell and dipole test, respectively.
- Environmental testing, conducted using heat, cold, moisture and vibration stresses.
- Battery testing, conducted as a discharging of the batteries for the hearing aid or as a simulated in-situ test where selected hearing aids are stimulated acoustically while at the same time the voltage in the battery is monitored.
