Wafer procurement
- minimising risk and lowering costs

Great care needs to be taken throughout the wafer production process to minimise risk, from the initial selection of the best foundry, to the management of the wafer sampling and production process.
The best foundry
DELTA's experienced staff will take complete responsibility for the task. We regularly work with a range of foundry partners, and select the best one for any particular project based not only on having the right semiconductor process and geometry, but also on the basis of successful previous experience with the type of IP and circuit functions involved.
The best price
It is likely that we will also obtain better prices for you - and even higher quality and yield levels too. We are usually able to negotiate better prices because of the combined volumes from our customer base that we bring to our foundry partners.
The best quality
Foundries know that the interface with DELTA operates at a very high level: The communication mechanisms are well established.
Better communications are an essential element of better quality, and part of that process is the understanding we have of a foundry's quality systems and what can be done: It's likely that we will be able to specify a tighter AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) regime than is offered to the typical 'small volume' ASIC customer.
Assure successful outcome
On other important aspect of wafer procurement process is the testing that needs to be performed at the sample stage. The costs of the necessary test equipment - and the know-how required - means that few ASIC users are ever able to justify the investment in equipment.
With DELTA's in-house test resources, we will ensure that thorough test procedures are applied to assure a successful outcome first time.
