Calibration

Making sure that your retroreflectometer is properly calibrated ensures correct and repeatable measurements when working on the road.

In general

The measuring instruments LTL-XL, LTL-X, LTL2000, LTL2000S, LTL2000SQ, QD30, RetroSign GR1 and RetroSign GR3 measure reflection characteristics of road markings and road signs.

It is not sufficient to calibrate the instrument with the enclosed standard before each measurement to ensure its validity. The standard itself has to be calibrated regularly too, especially if it is used in harsh environments.

An accredited calibration certificate guarantees that the content of the certificate is drawn up in accordance with quality criteria as stated in the Quality Manual of DELTA, which DANAK evaluates.

The Danish Accreditation Body, DANAK, is a member of the EA (the European Cooperation for Accreditation). This ensures international recognition of calibration certificates drawn up by the Testing and Calibration Laboratory.
