Do you need a certificate?
Maybe
Oh yes - if you can tell your customers, that you are a better and more reliable partner than your competitors - then of course you will get one.
Or - obviously - if you simply are required to have one by your customer.
But watch out for the most common false start in process improvement!
Never - ever - let the level be your goal!
Define business targets.
Define what you process performance must be to meet the business targets.
Improve processes, and measure progress.
Then - eventually - get a certificate to celebrate and tell your market that you are proud to declare a certain level of capability.
Better business is the only real motivation for process improvement, not a certificate.
If our motivation for emphasizing this is not clear to you, then call Morten, Tim or Jørn to discuss this in your context. It is crucial for success.
