For senior project managers

To become a SCOPE manager, the applicant must demonstrate experience and skills at master level in project management, requirement management, estimation, function point counting and Software Process Improvement.

Certified SCOPE Manager

The training and certification then adds the theory, process, tools and techniques to support the SCOPE manager in performing his role. And metrics - above all - metrics. The SCOPE manager is trained to interpret the hard international facts about sizes and productivity rates from 4000+ projects categorized by e.g. domain, platform and development language. Engagement

The customer engages - as soon as possible - the SCOPE manager, who works onsite in average two days per month, to manage the scope of the project.

The result is a project, where the customer pays a reasonable price for the delivered functionality, and where the supplier is guaranteed to get paid for the job well done. A nice concept compared to the traditional alternative.

The Finnish ministry of justice reports that they now, after running seven SCOPE manager supported projects, buy software at 1/3 of the price.
