New possibilities with light
1982
DELTA takes over the type approval of electronic scales for the Danish market.
1982
First reflectometer from 1982 of a series of reflectometers developed by the Danish Light Laboratory for measuring the reflection from road markings. It was developed together with the company Superfos and gave the Danish Light Laboratory a substantial competitive advantage for many years based on the reflectometer's technical quality.
1984
In 1984, the ESA and NASA jointly launched Hubble, a space telescope. The controls for unfolding Hubble's solar panels were made using electronics developed by DELTA, which worked with space technology for about thirty years, starting in the mid-1960s.
1987
IBM choses DELTA to establish an approval scheme for data cables. Today the scheme is used globally under the designation 'EC Verified'.
